Cass and Ali Bird join stars including Liv Tyler in the new advert celebrating motherhood.
A new film celebrating motherhood has been released featuring lesbian mums Cass and Ali Bird and their gorgeous kids Leo and Mae.
The Gap advert, titled Mama Said, is a joyous celebration of motherhood in support of Every Mother Counts, a not-for-profit which campaigns to make pregnancy and childbirth safer for women in countries including Haiti, Uganda, India, Nepal and Syria.
The charity informs, engages, and mobilises new audiences to take action to deliver life-saving care around the world, and is focused on raising awareness and funds to improve maternal health and reduce preventable maternal deaths by addressing three critical barriers to maternity care around the world; lack of transportation, education and training, and supplies.
“I love every aspect of Mama Said,” Ali told us. “It’s exciting to be doing this as a family with Gap and Every Mother Counts to support mothers who don’t have access and need help.”
Directed by and starring Liv Tyler, the advert also features Coco Rocha, Candice Swanepoel and Jurnee Smollett-Bell.
