Jaden Smith has become an ambassador for gender equality after being seen wearing skirts and dresses.

The 16-year-old son of actors Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith regularly posts images on social media of his fashion choices, captioning them with statements pushing positive gender fluidity.

“Went To TopShop To Buy Some Girl Clothes, I Mean ‘Clothes.’”

Smith has received support on social media for his fashion choices, while his parents have shown in the past that they’re no strangers to breaking stereotypes. Jaden’s Sister, Willow, became the center of a media storm when she cut her hair in 2012.

At the time, Jada Pinkett-Smith wrote on Facebook: “Willow cut her hair because her beauty, her value, her worth is not measured by the length of her hair. It’s also a statement that claims that even little girls have the RIGHT to own themselves and should not be a slave to even their mother’s deepest insecurities, hopes and desires. Even little girls should not be a slave to the preconceived ideas of what a culture believes a little girl should be.”
