bibleThe Court of Appeals has ordered that a gay couple are awarded £3, 600 in damages by Christian innkeepers, Peter and Hazelmary Bull.

The Bulls told the couple, Martyn Hall and Steven Preddy, that they could not share a double bedroom in their guesthouse.

The court in London told the couple, who ran the Chymorvah House in Cornwall, England, that their appeal had been rejected and they must pay the damages.

The Bulls had argued that they had not discriminated against the gay couple because of their sexuality, but instead because sex outside marriage is a “sin.”

Their lawyer, James Dingemans, insisted his clients’ guesthouse policy was directed toward a sexual practice, not sexual orientation, and applied to both straight and gay couples.
