The new DIVA Music Festival, headlined by KT Tunstall, aims to put women centre stage

For the last 25 years, DIVA has prided itself on championing women and celebrating our achievements in all fields, including arts and culture.

Whether between the covers of the magazine itself, at the groundbreaking DIVA Literary Festival, on the Radio DIVA airwaves, or on the women’s stage at Pride In London, DIVA have made it their mission to showcase new and emerging talent in the lez/bi/queer world.

But now they want to do more. And that’s why, this year, they’re launching the DIVA Music Festival.

Hosted and curated by Heather Peace, the DIVA team are staging a lesbian takeover of a holiday camp, and a weekend of live music set to be the hottest ticket in town, with everything from top headline acts – including KT Tunstall, Red Sky July, and Caitlyn Scarlett - and a big band night, to competitions, quizzes and more.

“I wanted there to be a space that felt like it’s own little village where guests could come, let their hair down, feel safe and listen to fantastic, strong female artists and female-led bands,” said DIVA Festival curator, Heather Peace.

“The line-up will include established musicians and up-and-coming artists that we’ve been introducing through Radio DIVA. It’s about having a great time with friends. It’s about music, laughter, dancing and fun.

“I’m so excited to be a part of bringing this festival to our readers and listeners. We’re going to have a ball!”

DIVA Music Festival takes place from 30 November – 2 December 2018 at Vauxhall Holiday Park, Great Yarmouth, Norfolk NR30 1TB.
