DIVA are delighted to announce the London Women’s Clinic as Headline Sponsor of the 2017 DIVA Literary Festival.

The Festival, brainchild of DIVA publisher Linda Riley, takes place at Birmingham NEC’s Hilton Metropole. This exciting event will begin on the evening of Friday 3rd November with the inaugural DIVA Literary Awards and continue all weekend.

Publisher Linda Riley said, “I’m thrilled that the London Women’s Clinic is supporting women’s writing by sponsoring our festival. Their headline sponsorship enables us to create an even bigger and better event. We want to deliver a much-needed boost to up and coming writers by supporting them, and to provide everyone attending with a memorable weekend of culture, celebration and – not least – fun. We at DIVA have always championed the amazing contributions made to arts and culture by lesbians and bisexual women, and the support of our friends at the London Women’s Clinic allows us to continue to promote the amazing – and often unsung – talent within our community. I would also like to thank Val McDermid for her unwavering support and advice from the offset, and for having been the first author to confirm her attendance”

The DIVA brand continues to grow with the DIVA Awards and Radio DIVA both popular new additions, with the DIVA Literary Festival the latest example of the title’s commitment to arts and culture.

The Festival opens on the evening of Friday 3rd November with a dinner and awards ceremony, with the remainder of the weekend taken up by panel discussions, author meet and greets, signings and workshops. Leading authors such as award-winning crime writer Val McDermid have already confirmed their attendance, alongside talents such as Stella Duffy, Kiki Archer and others. The entertainment on the Saturday night will be second-to-none, inspired by Jenny Roberts’ much missed YLAF).

Conveniently located close to Birmingham’s NEC, the Festival is easily accessible by road, rail and air, with special room rates available at the Festival’s host venue when booked via the Festival website.
