Julian Clary marries partner of 11 years.
At last, some happy news to start the week after Julian Clary revealed that he married his partner Ian Mackley over the weekend.
The camp comedian and Mackley, who have been in a relationship since 2005, wed in a private ceremony on Saturday.
Clary, 57, announced the happy news on Twitter with characteristic wordplay, writing: “On Saturday he slipped his finger into my ring at last # married”.
He is currently touring with his latest show, The Joy of Mincing, a retrospective of his 30-year-career. With tales of how he once saved Joan Collins’s life or embarrassed himself in front of the Queen in the line-up after a Royal Variety Performance, to the double entendres and a delivery that’s disarmingly unaffected ,it’s a guarantee Clary is en route to ‘national treasure’ status.
