davidcThe Prime Minister has asked the Christian community to be more “tolerant” and “welcoming” of gay people.

His remarks came as a response to the recent case of a homophobic Christian couple refused the right to adopt. Eunice and Owen Johns were told that their views made them unsuitable candidates for taking care of a child.

Speaking to the Derby Telegraph after a cabinet meeting in Derby, Cameron said: ““I think Christians should be tolerant and welcoming and broad minded.”
