Television presenter and singer, Cilla Black, has passed away from natural causes, it was revealed today.

A spokeswoman for the Spanish police confirmed to The Mirror that Cilla had died at her home Spain, saying “I can confirm the death of British national Priscilla White, aged 72.

“We are still awaiting autopsy results but everything at this stage is pointing towards her death being the result of natural causes.”

Cilla, who was completely deaf, had previously publicly spoken of her growing health concerns that forced her to give up her television career.

‘I am falling apart,; she said. ‘My hand is falling apart. I can’t shake hands. I had arthritis and I had an operation for it. I had it done because I was in pain. I am not in pain at the moment. But it looks a bit deformed on the wrist,” the star said.

Long term friend of fellow TV presenter Paul O’Grady, Cilla had iconic status within the LGBT community and once comment: “I don’t know why I’ve got so many gay friends. I just seem to attract gay men.

Cilla leaves behind three sons, Robert, Ben and Jack, and two grandchildren.
