JonahMowryA gay teenager has been applauded by celebrities for a brave video he has made addressing homophobic bullying.

14-year old Jonah Mowry posted the video on Youtube more than 3 months ago.

The clip entitled “Whats goin on..” features the boy holding up cards to tell his story whilst he tries to hold back tears.

The cards list the names he has been called and mentions how scared he was to return to school.

In one card he says, “I’ve cut…a lot. I have scars. Suicide was an option…many times.”

He ends the video on an optimistic note “I’m not going anywhere… Because I’m stronger than that… And… I have a million reasons to be here”.

Jonah has received Tweets of encouragement from many celebrities including Lady Gaga, Ricky Martin and Jane Lynch.

The video has more than 2 million views and is accompanied with a message from Jonah “I’m not going to kill myself.  I just need to get this out here”.
