Located in the world famous village of Shepperton, Old Halliford Place by Shanly Homes is a development steeped in history. Positioned on Manygate Lane, the site was formerly home to Halliford Studios where films, including Michael Caine’s The Last Valley (1971), were shot and produced for 63 years.

Now a collection of just 16 homes and eight apartments the striking show home takes centre stage. Available to purchase with all furnishings and accessories, the four bedroom property has been thoughtfully designed, with stylish interiors, generous living spaces and a professionally landscaped garden for its new owners to enjoy.

Thanks to its famous roots, the street was previously a regular haunt to the likes of Sir Tom Jones, Marlon Brando and Dickie Valentine, and many screen stars still frequent the area owing to the famous Shepperton Studios being just around the corner. Shepperton Studios is renowned worldwide for being the filming location of a number of cinematic masterpieces including 1917 (2019), Maleficent Mistress of Evil (2019), Rocketman (2018) and Thor: The Dark World (2013) to name a few.

Andrew Henry, Director at Andrew Henry Interiors comments: “The site on Manygate Lane was home to many big names during the swinging 60s and 70s. We wanted to highlight this iconic period and have peppered these eras throughout the design of the show home.

“We selected a neutral palette throughout the property and have used accent colours of ochre and cinnamon to give a nod to this period. Upon entering the home, the gentle colours on the walls have been brought to life with photographs of legendary actors and actresses from the time. In the spacious living room, we wanted to create an area that would suit a range of lifestyles.

“The mid-century wooden furniture adds warmth to the room and soft furnishings of mustard and burnt orange create an inviting, yet cosy space, whilst the 1970’s colour blocked rug clearly defines the living area. Light window dressings maximise the size of the room, helping to ensure a well-lit and bright space to unwind.

“Upstairs the master suite is sumptuous and inviting. Situated on the top floor of the home, we were looking to create a haven where adults can retreat and unwind after a long day. The neutral colour palette is calming, whilst the gold accents, dark wood and mustard tones add warmth to the room. The built-in dressing area and en-suite shower room further cement the luxuriousness of the space; the master suite truly is the jewel in the crown of this home.

“The second bedroom further highlights the 60s and 70s theme. A mid-century wooden bed and matching bedside tables are the main focal point of the room with soft light furnishings, patterned accent pillows and abstract prints pulling the room together. Bedroom three’s bright and bold orange headboard nods to the era whilst a bright white bookshelf and rustic white bedside tables give the room a modern twist.

“With more and more people working from home, we felt it was important to showcase how the fourth bedroom could be utilised as a home office. The ergonomic black chair and black wooden desk provide a professional feel, while the use of plants and artwork help to create a workspace that is peaceful and inspiring.”
