Australias-new-Prime-Mini-006Australian parliament is to vote on an amendment to the Marriage Act which would “ensure equal access to marriage under statue for all adult couples irrespective of sex.”

Julia Gillard, leader of the Labor party and Australia’s Prime Minister will allow delegates to vote on proposed changes to Labor’s policy concerning gay marriage. Ms Gillard has stated that her personal view is that marriage is between a man and a woman.
